The Poplar body provides well-balanced tone with impressive thickness, supported by a GRG Maple bolt-on neck that delivers brightness and reliable playing stability across the full 24-fret range. The Bound Purpleheart fretboard enhances both the tonal character and the visual appeal of this instrument, with White Sharktooth inlays adding an aggressive detail that pairs naturally with the Black Night finish. The HSH pickup configuration is a standout feature at this price point — Ibanez Infinity R humbuckers at neck and bridge positions flank an Infinity RS single-coil in the middle, covering a remarkably wide tonal spectrum with accurate, dynamic output that maintains clarity even under heavy gain. The T102 Tremolo bridge with 10.5mm string spacing facilitates easier cross-string picking and smooth tremolo response for expressive playing. For guitarists across the UAE seeking a multi-voiced, well-equipped GIO instrument with a striking finish and proven Ibanez build quality, the GRG170DX-BKN is a thoroughly capable and rewarding choice.
