The Performers
Oleg Poliansky
Born in Kyiv in 1968, Oleg Poliansky is a prize winner of the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, along with honors from competitions in Tokyo, Montreal, and Cincinnati. He has performed as a soloist with orchestras including the Moscow Symphony Orchestra and the National Symphony of Ukraine, and has held a professorship in piano at the Cologne University of Music — one of Europe's largest music academies. On September 18, he brings that career to a Kawai concert grand on the Harmony House showroom floor.
Laura Frei
Laura Frei joins the evening as soprano, performing a program built around opera's most iconic arias — including, as the night's title promises, Puccini's "Nessun Dorma."
The Piano: Kawai GX-2 Concert Grand
The instrument at the center of the evening — also available in our Dubai showroom
The GX-2 is built around Kawai's Millennium III Action, using ABS-Carbon composite parts and Kawai's own spruce keys — a combination designed to give a concert pianist the fast repetition and dynamic control that a program like this demands, from the quietest passages to full fortissimo.
Why Harmony House Hosts Nights Like This
Instruments like the Kawai GX-2 are built for exactly this — a real room, a real player, no amplification standing between the hammer and the string. Selling pianos and drum kits from a catalog page only tells half the story; an evening like this tells the rest. Harmony House is an authorized dealer for both Kawai and TAMA in the UAE, alongside 40+ other brands across our Dubai showroom.
