Korg Oriental Keyboards: PA700-OR vs PA5X OR-76

Two arrangers built for Arabic, Persian and Turkish music, at very different levels. Here is what each one offers.

Korg's Oriental editions take its professional arranger keyboards and add sounds, drum and percussion kits, keyboard sets, pads and styles from the musical traditions of Türkiye and Persia, with particular focus on Arabic countries. Harmony House stocks two of them, the 61-key PA700-OR and the 76-key flagship PA5X OR-76. This guide sets them side by side so you can choose.

  • A 61-key keyboard suits how and where you play
  • You are stepping up from a home keyboard into serious live use

Choose the PA5X OR-76 if...

  • You want the largest library, with 940+ factory styles and 2,600+ sounds
  • You play professionally and want 160-voice polyphony and the flagship engine
  • You prefer 76 keys for more range on stage
  • You are comfortable setting scales from the screen and assigning presets to buttons or a footswitch

Our honest recommendation

The PA700-OR delivers the Oriental content and a physical quarter-tone keypad at roughly a third of the PA5X OR-76's price, which makes it the practical choice for most players. The PA5X OR-76 is a bigger investment that pays off for working professionals who will use its larger style and sound library and extra polyphony. Try both if you can: the difference in layout and feel is easier to judge in person.
