NATHAN EAST SIGNATURE PREAMPLIFIER — The DB-EAST-PRE is a compact, portable Digbeth bass preamplifier developed for Nathan East, delivering his powerful ‘BIG RIG’ DB-EAST sound in a convenient pedal-sized format.
SWITCHABLE FET & TUBE INPUT STAGES — Features switchable and blendable FET and TUBE input stages, giving bass players the flexibility to combine different preamp characteristics and create a wide range of tones.
SELECTABLE TUBE GAIN & RANGE CONTROL — The tube channel includes selectable gain characteristics along with a dedicated RANGE control that adjusts the level of low-end signal before distortion, helping tighten and control distorted low frequencies.
POWERFUL 3-BAND EQ & TONE SHAPING — Equipped with a powerful 3-band EQ featuring selectable mid PRE-SHAPES, plus the versatile TILT function for further tonal shaping and a dedicated MASTER VOLUME for overall output control.
LA·IR EQUIPPED DI OUTPUTS — The DB-EAST-PRE features LA·IR equipped DI outputs, with each input routed through the preamp to its own dedicated DI output. The LA·IR app includes high-quality IRs of Nathan East’s preferred DBV212 and DBV410 cabinets.
AUTOMATIC CABINET IR SWITCHING — The cabinet IR used by the DI output switches automatically when changing between the DB-EAST-PRE’s inputs, providing a flexible setup for bass players using multiple instruments.

The DB-EAST-PRE provides comprehensive tone shaping through Bass, Lo-Middle with switchable Q and operating frequency, Hi-Mid, Treble, and Tilt controls, giving players precise control over their overall bass response. A balanced XLR DI output features switchable Ground Lift and Source Mode settings for Pre, Post, and LA·IR operation, while the LA·IR app allows custom impulse responses and firmware updates. USB Type-C supports class-compliant 48kHz audio streaming with emulated or un-emulated main output and LA·IR app connectivity. Additional features include a 3.5mm stereo Aux input, FX Loop, Tuner Out, and clear LED indicators for Bypass/Mute, Inputs 1/2, and FET/Tube channels. Supplied with Nathan East’s favourite DBV410 and DBV212 cabinet IRs, the DB-EAST-PRE delivers a complete and highly flexible bass preamp solution.
