About This Product
The Cort Gold-Edge is a premium acoustic-electric guitar from Cort’s Gold Series, optimized for exceptional acoustic tone and playability right from the start. Its Grand Auditorium body combines a Torrefied Solid Sitka Spruce top with Solid Flamed Myrtlewood back and sides, creating a rich and harmonically complex tonal character with strong low-mid richness, clarity, and projection. The Natural Gloss finish highlights the distinctive figuring of the Myrtlewood, while the Aged-to-Vintage (ATV) treatment gives the solid spruce top the big, open tonal character associated with vintage acoustic guitars.

The Walnut-reinforced Mahogany neck features Cort’s Comfort C Shape and is paired with an Ebony fingerboard with a 15.75-inch (R400) radius and 20 frets. The hand-rolled fretboard and body edges provide a smooth and comfortable playing experience, while the Triple Bevelcut incorporates an armrest, cutaway, and ribrest for enhanced ergonomics. The Ebony bridge and bridge pins, Genuine Bone nut and saddle, Deluxe Vintage Gold tuning machines, and hand-scalloped X-bracing complete the premium construction.

For amplified performance, the L.R. Baggs Anthem system combines a miniature microphone with a traditional piezo pickup to provide studio-quality acoustic tone when plugged in. The Sonically Enhanced UV Finish allows the wood to vibrate and breathe more naturally while providing protection and durability. With its Torrefied Solid Sitka Spruce top, Solid Flamed Myrtlewood back and sides, Ebony fingerboard, Walnut-reinforced Mahogany neck, L.R. Baggs Anthem electronics, ergonomic Triple Bevelcut design, and Natural Gloss finish, the Cort Gold-Edge delivers the premium tone, comfort, and craftsmanship of Cort’s Gold Series. A Hardshell Case is included.
