The PIA3761-XB is equipped with DiMarzio® UtoPIA™ pickups, voiced with smoother highs, scooped mids, and a more pronounced low end to reflect Steve Vai's tonal preferences. The Edge tremolo provides exceptional tuning stability, precise intonation adjustment, and comfortable operation, while the push/pull high-pass filter on the volume control helps maintain high frequencies at lower volume levels. Special PIA features include the Petal Grip, magnetic tremolo cavity plate for quick access, PIA Blossom inlay, and a scalloped fingerboard on the 21st–24th frets for easier high-note bending and tapping. Luminlay side dots improve visibility on dark stages, while the included Ultralite Tremolo Arm™ offers sensitive tremolo control with reduced weight. An Ibanez hardshell case is included for protection during storage and transportation.
