Electric Guitar Prices in Dubai: What You Get at Every Budget (AED)

Real guitars and amps from Ibanez, Cort, Sterling and VOX, grouped by budget with live AED prices.

How much does an electric guitar cost in Dubai? The honest answer is that it depends on what you want from it. A first guitar can start under AED 1,000, a serious gigging instrument sits between AED 2,000 and AED 4,500, and a Japanese-built Prestige model can pass AED 10,000. This guide walks through each budget with real guitars from Ibanez, Cort and Sterling by Music Man that we stock, plus the starter amps to pair with them. Prices are live this week; ask us about stock and colours.

Under AED 2,000: First Guitars

At this level you are paying for a guitar that plays well enough to keep you practising. The Ibanez GRX40 is the lowest-priced electric guitar we stock, and the GRG121 and RG421 step up in feel and tone. The Sterling CT30SSS is a good alternative with single-coil pickups.

AED 2,000 to 3,000: The Sweet Spot

Most players who stay with the guitar end up here. You get better pickups, a more stable build and finishes you will still like in five years. Cort and Sterling both do well in this range, and the Ibanez AR320 adds a classic double-cutaway shape.

AED 3,000 to 4,500: Gigging Guitars

Here you are choosing a guitar for how it plays and sounds, not just price. The Ibanez AR420 and Cort X700 Duality II are strong picks, and Sterling offers signature models including the John Petrucci JP70 7-string.

Over AED 10,000: Prestige Level

Ibanez Prestige guitars are the top of the range. A model such as the AZ2204AG (AED 10,199) is for players who already know what they want from a neck, pickups and hardware. If you are not there yet, the mid-range models above give you far more value per dirham.

Don't Forget the Amp

A guitar needs an amplifier, and a small practice amp costs much less than most people expect. Our guitar amp buying guide explains watts and tubes in plain language.

How to Choose

Start with how you will play. Heavy rock and metal suit humbucker pickups, while clean and blues tones suit single-coils.

Try the neck. A neck that feels comfortable in your hand matters more than the finish. Visit the showroom and hold two or three guitars before choosing.

Budget for extras. Plan for a cable, picks, a strap and a gig bag, and a spare set of strings.
